"Lovely jazz music in the background and good value two course meal £11.95 nice sized portion Clean restaurant and toilets I felt the wedges were a bit undercooked and were the frozen type rather than fresh but I really enjoyed my meal"

"Been there for the first time.The food was nice but the price was way too much for the portion, For a beef steak they charged over £30 which was not enough for the price. The chicken steak was a boneless fillet marinated with sauce but the price was around £25 which is completely unfair. The salad wasn’t fresh and was just few leaves. You can not sit there for long as the restaurant is too small and dark. The steak shouldn’t be served in ceramic plates as its slippery when you try to cut the meat."

"I was invited here for a birthday party. They didn't have the drink I asked for so I ended up having Coke. I was given a can and a glass. During my stay I asked for another can and paid. I couldn't believe it when...I was told it was for cans of Coke! I expected to pay more than a supermarket but probably about the same as a pub. This was about double pub prices! I know I certainly won't be returning!"

"Avoid at all cost,food turnt up cold and the smallest shish kebab I have ever seen. for tiny peices of chicken. Called up and asked for a refund they completely refused and offered us on our next visit it was our first...and defently our last visit. Avoid and spend your money somewhere else. I have left a review on there Facebook and it seems they don't take kindly critism so there workers have been comenting.. Avoid avoid avoid."

"Went with my 2 daughters and son in law to the Halcyon in Peterborough for lunch on 16th Feb 22, we ordered our choices however was told my first choice of main meal (big belter breakfast) was off the menu so I ordered my second...choice (fish n chips) was also off the menu.. so against my better judgement I reluctantly went for the lasagne.. the meals came, however, my lasagne was lukewarm as was my daughters and son in law's meals, they were cold by the time we got half way through eating them.. we were not impressed, especially since the pub was not actually thronging with people.. to add insult to injury their prices have spiked somewhat which left a bitter taste in our mouth.. on a positive note the staff gave us an excellent service.. however we will not be returning for a long long time"
