"I was with Saint Simon twice to make sure we go to Murphys. Just as they say, the old diving bar my favorite in town. Bartenders are kind as the locals. Never a bad place."

"Good morning. Had dinner last night at cjs and came here since 1991. Drinks and salads and bread were great. My father had a chicken Alfredo about Penne Pasta and my wife had lasagna that were all good. But my Parmesan chicken left little to be desired. Basically a chicken snell cut into four thin slices and a little cheese blown up above burned spaghetti and a little sauce. Let's get you together. Prepare the chicken in a bread coating and fry in a pan and then over the spaghetti with lots of cheese and place it in the oven and bake it with extra sauce."

"Food and wait time were both terrible. Either the food was burnt, soggy like a wet sock, or hard as a rock. We ended up waiting an hour in total, when there were maybe only three groups of people when we first arrived. We received two of four orders within the first half, and the other two at an hour after placing the order. They were extremely sub par. We were told they were waiting on one said item, all dishes included it, and contained hardly any of it after such a long wait. Wait staff did not know how long the food would take or what was going on. There was one cook, two waitresses, and a bartender. The one tending the bar looked like she was doing a good job, the cook was struggling, and the waitresses were either not there, on their phone, or screwing off in the back hiding. Asked them multiple times when our food would be out and they said they didn't know and left. When asked again they replied with a shoulder shrug and the same answer. Will not be returning to this place again. If I could give a zero I most certainly would and if the owner is reading this, no offense, but you should talk to the waitresses and hire a second cook."

"Needs improvement! For a nice little quaint restaurant in pretty much downtown touristy St. Simon’s Island, I was expecting better! In Atlanta, we have Zesto’s, which this kind of reminded me of. Frosty’s slaw was horrible. The hot dog chili was anything BUT appetizing, and the fries were the same run-of-the-mill cheapest frozen and deep fried fries that can be bought. I would LIKE to see improvement in this establishment. Fresh cut fries, delicious house made chili, and hot dogs that actually have more flavor (think Nathan’s or Hebrew National dogs) would be a great start. One of those places that looks fantastic from the outside, but when you leave after trying to impress your kid and wife with a fun little place to eat, spending $32, and leaving thinking of better food you could have gotten for your money….it’s PRETTY sad."

"Don't worry, we won't be back. our server was nice when she finally came to the table, but the total service was bad. eating was dirty, cold and simply flat outside not good. I ordered the garnelen Basket and got a handful of barely heated, tasteless, hard nuggets. I sent my food back and decided it would be better to just let starve. I had expected that more a more ruffled place, but if this is what is considered good eating while on holiday, I will simply stay in my own and order pizza."
