"Came here for lunch, and as i'm not a regular here i tried their best pho soup in takapuna as sign outside reads.<br/>How one judge vietnamese dishes is via the flagship national dish. Noodles were of the thin gauge of 1mm not my favorite 3mm width and was quite small than average serving, like half a bowl. Guess i'm use to the generous servings from their Otahuhu rivals such as Sam Woo.<br/>But the entree i had, the sweet|sour deep fry tofu was a generous serving for 6 bucks, see pic.<br/>Keen to return to try the other dishes next in area."

"Come here quite frequently with the family, and always a great time. Excellent curries, and some awesome Prawn toast!<br/>You have to order the rice separately, and they never ask you if you want it, but other than that, great service. (I have a daughter with peanut allergies, and it has never been an issue)"

"Lovely food as always and we continue to come back here. Meals are a generous size and all the dishes have lots of meat which not a lot of other Asian style restaurants tend to have. There was only one waiter on, so service was a bit slow but we were brought a complementary entree to compensate for the fact our meals were going to take a little longer. Will definitely be back and would happily recommend it to others."

"Food was really good, atmosphere feels fancy. Waitress was really nice. We have dinner there and it was a little expensive that’s why they got the 4 starts. They have vegetarian options in the menu."

"I have been to Monthien about 5-6 times now for takeaways to dine in,and have always had an excellent meal , good value for money, great dining area Sam is the host with the most ! I would have no trouble reccommending it to anyone after a lovely Thai meal ."

"Our revisit to Thai Takapuna was a good experience.<br/ <br/ We ordered tom yum kong (Thai sour and spicy prawn soup), pineapple fried rice, mixed veggies and sweet and sour noodle salad.<br/ <br/ The food was tasty and portion was just right for 4 of us. <br/ The meal cost us less than $80 which was quite reasonable.<br/ <br/ Give it a try!"
