"I used to love going to Church's Chicken couldn't wait to bite into that crispy tasty chicken. Oh and we cannot forget the honey butter biscuits terrific. Love the fried okra. But for some reason today April 5th 2022 at between 10:30 and 10:45 this morning we decided to go there and get Church's Chicken for lunch. So we ordered a 12 piece meal that included the fried okra the biscuits coleslaw and chicken but for some reason when we asked for honey and butter so we can put on our biscuits because we love to put extra we got told that they put the honey in the butter on the biscuits that they don't give out honey and honey and butters anymore so I let that slide because they are good but when you bite into chicken and it tastes like cardboard wait a minute cardboard had more flavor than the chicken the coleslaw didn't have enough sauce on it the okra tasted stale like it was set for a while or it was left over from last night. Try to call and make a complaint nobody wanted to answer the phone. So not only do we get rude customer service we get bad tasting food and nobody wants to hear the complaint. My wife and family and I have decided we will no longer go to Church's Chicken anymore. They have a long way to go to even try to get us back. I wouldn't even feed the chicken to my dog that's how nasty it was. And Church's Chicken when you do see this review. Please feel free to contact me because I have a lot"

"This was a gem that we found while passing through Topeka, KS. We wanted to experience local Fried Chicken! This was it! So good, and the locals lively conversation cracked me up as I sat and waited for my fresh cooked fried chicken to get done! I recommend making the stop if you are ever through Topeka!"

"27 August 2022, approximately 4:30 pm. Disappointed. Ordered the 8 piece original chicken family dinner with 4 biscuits and two large sides for take out. When we got home there were no thighs. We had 2 legs, 3 wings and 3 breasts. While this is technically 8 pieces, it was not the implied 2 wings, 2 breasts 2 legs and two thighs that one would expect. This may not be an issue for most people, but my husband does not particularly like chicken, but will eat chicken thighs. And his displeasure at effectively taking him out of the meal, means I won't be talking him into another KFC dinner soon. My recommendation is employees not sub food items without consulting the customer. I could have been offered two crispy thighs or two other pieces of original chicken. I would have chosen two legs. Long story short, it is easier to accept the substitution if the customer is involved in the decision"

"Came in just before noon, wasn't too busy but appeared only 2 employees in the store. Short Latino guy was super rude while telling us almost everything we order they didn't have it including any chicken except for tenders...like why even open? African guy in back was working his butt off though. Ended up getting tenders and famous bowl. Most disappointing meal we've had in a long while. Tenders were hard and cold, and mainly breading. Bowl was cold and bland. Avoid this location at all costs."
