"We visited the stag on a rainy Sunday afternoon seeking warmth, comfort food, peace, and a full tummy!!! We got ALL. Thoroughly enjoyed this gem of a pub, nestled in the countryside. The friendliest of landlords was so welcoming, the Sunday Roast was DELICIOUS and piping hot. The homemade rhubarb crumble was to die for . Service excellent. Thank you The Stag , for a wonderful Sunday"

"A very enjoyable evening. Food was great, good pub food done well. Service fab, the girls that served us were just very good at what they do and looked after us well. I would recommend for a good pub meal. Drinks are good to, they serve a decent beer on tap and a good wine."

"Decided to have a journey out for a Saturday lunch having passed the pub on one of my motorcycle trips. Good simple welcoming local. It too much on the menu- usually a good sign of freshly cooked scoff. We had Ham Egg and Chips- a simple meal but you’d be surprised how many pubs can get it wrong....no complaints here- good ingredients, well cooked. Mrs Felltiger had the Special of Pork Belly with crackling, apple mash and veg. Mrs F is rather critical when it comes to food....this passed with again good ingredients and “perfectly cooked”. Very good value prices and a great pint of Hobgoblin. They even have a piano that you can play if you,re so inclined... We will return"
