"My wife, three daughters and I had the worst restaurant experience ever at CheZelles. I have never been so rudely treated and then publicly shamed in front of my children and other people in the restaurant. Here are the details: We were...walking through old Vence looking at menus as we were trying to decide on a restaurant for dinner. We looked at a Tapas menu and as we were reviewing a women came over and began speaking with us and then hurried us to a nearby table. She immediately asked us for a drink order and then passed us the dinner menu. As we began to review the menu we realized that the previous tapas menu was a different restaurant (the dinner tables were directly next to each other) and this place also serves tapas but Armenian tapas which were not appealing to my young girls. My wife and I decided that we would order a tapas or two, enjoy our mojitos, and move on. This is when it got interesting. The older waitress said it was mandatory that we each had to order a minimum of pieces (over EU's each). She stood over us demanding that we order and that we had a food minimum requirement. I finally said we would just pay for our drinks and leave. This is when she became verbally abusive and insulting as she ridiculed us to others who were sitting at the next table. She claimed we had to order food as we were taking business away from her but in reality, the restaurant was completely empty except for that one table. In addition, she went and got the female chef who came out and started yelling at us too. It was a surreal experience watching these two middle aged women browbeat us. We paid our cocktail tab and left. The only saving grace about this place was a nice young waitress who seemed very embarrassed. As you can see in the photo all the tables are filled at the restaurant next door and all the tables are empty at CheZelles which are the two front rows. I strongly recommend you stay away!"

"Truly the work of an artist, La Cassoulette's dishes were beautiful in concept, taste,and visual pleasure. An Amuse Bouche of carrot purée and whipped cream was a delightful surprise. An entree of grenouilles were fresh and tiny, a pile in a green parsley creme 'pond' that was both an experience and a taste sensation. We also had grilled calamari and risotto that was a perfect dream of flavors. Pure pleasure of ambience, charm, simplicity of decor and genuine warmth. Cannot recommend it more highly."
