"If you want to know what going out for dinner is like and in China, regal is the place to go. More and more kiwis are starting to come here, but the place is really keeping to its authentic Chinese food service. Would highly recommend giving it a go. If you’re not too experienced eating Chinese food, I would recommend bring someone with you to help with the menu choice."

"Winner of The 2019 Wellington On A Plate Innovative Dine Menu and Event Innovation Awards, Hillside Kitchen and Cellar is a gem. Max, the head chef, is a creative master in the kitchen and he and his staff always surprise with new and inventive offerings. Hillside has an a la carte lunch and dinner menu, but the<br/ 5 course and 7 course dinner degustation experiences are what make Hillside amazing. These luscious celebrations start with snacks, followed by fresh-from-the-oven crusty homemade sourdough white and kumara breads served with a side of boutique salt peppered olive oil. The courses then commence and it's always a joy to anticipate what comes next. There are 4 savoury mains followed by a palate cleanser and dessert. The 7 course has an additional in-house-crafted nut cheese plate and a second dessert. Both degustations finish with lovely petit fours.<br/ <br/ Because Hillside is an Eco-conscious, Vegetarian Vegan only restaurant that takes pride in growing its own fruits veggies, foraging for local plants fungi and partnering with trusted artisan suppliers, every dish is fresh, healthy, elegant and sensual.<br/ <br/ There's an alcohol and non-alcohol drink pairing option for each of the degustation experiences as well as a brilliiant natural (local international) by-the-glass or bottle wine selection. There are cocktails, teas, coffees, juices, kombuchas, keffirs, liquers, beers and sparkling water. Be prepared for three hours to fly by if you choose the degustation experiences. Hillside Kitchen is also an art gallery featuring local artists whose creations are available for purchase. Tucked away in a beautiful little corner of Wellington, Hillside Kitchen is a cacoon of comfort and a real treat."

"This caffe had a very good call in wellington for many years. When five of my friends went to lunch tonight, I thought I would accompany her. I was told there were two vegan options for a main dish. there was only one, the second option that the waiter told me was a typo that it could be vegan. So I was with a vegan adjustment of a rice bowl where the smoked fish were replaced by mushrooms. it was very expensive and I really didn't feel like trusting. there were no vegan cabinet food. No one seems to know about vegan options or interested in catering for me at all, so I ended up with a coffee and went somewhere else to lunch when my friends finished. unbelievably disappointing in this time when most restaurants are inventive and have two or three vegan options on their menu. Not just take a meat ingredient so it becomes vegan, but actually create interesting individual dishes. we have so many good vegan options in other restaurants I would strongly recommend that they try them if they are vegan. nikau must come to the speed and if it does, I am sure that all many vegans will be happy to taste their food."

"Great little Cafe attached to Zealandia. There is a menu with made to order food and a display case with pre-made sandwiches and pies for about half the price of the made to order. Nice choice of seating. Food was very good and the portions were well sized, if you're a light eater you probably could split most things."

"Used to be my go-to, but last year they have almost no vegan options - in a meal that had the opportunity to be made vegan I was served meat with my meal that I was told vegan and later said was actually meat. You have a few dishes that have the opportunity to turn vegan, but not many. Cabinet has no more vegan options. Updated from previous review on 2017-08-01"

"Got the smoothie bowl and waffles.<br/>Love that seize has many vegan and gluten free options as there aren’t many dedicated solely to this in the CBD. Smoothie bowl was delicious, waffles were good but a little soggy/dense in the middle. Overall, delicious food (even if a little pricey) and would go again."

Café am ufer der lyall buzz with magnificent view of the sea. they have a few vegan sweet options on their menu and fantastic cabinet food. recommend the salate nourishing, fun and full taste. faster service, although at a honeying or peak time it can wait a bit and it can be a bit loud. great place for group food and is child-friendly some steps to go up to the caffe. same owner as Diamond-Deli"

"Really great counter food options that are all healthy. Although it was quite busy the staff were on top of orders and we really enjoyed the food- especially the slices which were far better than most other cafes. Deluxe is a more expensive choice but the food was filling and high quality."
