"It has been for a few years since we were with the poplars, we were certainly not disappointed where we met friends for dinner. excellent meal, choices for our vegetarian friend, super desserts. very busy pub catering for all age groups. friendly staff, it is worth revising. Thank you."

"Well I have to say I have eaten in the kings arms on quite a few occasions, but never before for a Sunday roast. The staff are always friendly and the service top notch. We both ordered the combo of pork and lamb Sunday roast. The food was excellent, cooked to perfection and the veg was again perfect not to hard not to soft. What have I been missing. I am a very fussy eater when eating out l, quite critical as I love to cook myself. I will be visiting again on a Sunday and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you all at the Kings arms."

"We had a series of lunches in the longs arms since it reopened. large menu, wonderful eating, beautiful environment and really friendly, powerful staff. the one article that stops being 5 stars is the young manager. if present, he sits at either one of the tables in the bar with his laptop call instructions and problems policy to the personal. otherwise he tries to reorganize the tables while the customers try to have a quiet lunch. sometimes he treats the personal as if it were idiots. he clearly doesn't listen to the personal, he's routinely speaking to them. we heard that a worker carried out for a table movement that he wanted them not to reach it to serve customers. his answer was to say 'do it now' and he then went away from finding someone to help move the table (while trying to serve customers with drinking and eating). large place whose ambiente is sometimes pampered by a dictatorial chef who acts like a newly promoted corporate (I am ex-military, so they know the type)."

"Had a lovely family meal over the weekend, it was busy with live music, which was a bit loud but entertaining. The staff were all attentive, Katie and I think Jack served us at both the bar and the table promptly and professionally despite till issues. Food was great, nicely presented and done in a satisfactory time. Thank you"

"Stopped here on a mid week early evening with a couple of our grandkids and although it wasn’t busy, it took ages to get served at the bar where you order meals (there was only one person serving but meals arrived quickly. Definitely not gourmet food (you get what you pay for and my chips were only warm but the grandkids enjoyed their meals (which is the main thing! . Tables were sticky and overall the place could do with a complete refurb, there were also loads of pesky flies lurking around. However, staff were really helpful (especially the young lad table waiting and there’s plenty of parking."

"We had our Wedding Reception here in 2022. We stayed the night before which made everything much Easier on the morning of the wedding. The meetings we had to discuss what we would like went well. When we went into the room for the first time after it was set up beautifully, I was truly very happy with how it had all come together. The food we had was perfect and we had no complaints at all. Jan and staff ran the day like clock work and we didnt have to worry at all. The evening Buffet was nice and more than enough for us all. Even the Dj they suggested went down a treat too! Thank you for making our day perfect! Tracey and Guy"
