"Steak was cooked to perfection and was seasoned just enough to still enjoy the quality of the cut. I would have given five stars but the staff was rushed and preoccupied with other tables. He was rushing a little too much and was very noticeable. I would expect a smoother, attentive, not that rushed feeling from such a nice restaurant."

"We went to Monticchio for a family birthday. While we have been there several times in years past we had not been back recently. The mussels, both Monticchio classics and Sambucca, were as amazing as we remembered. The food was hot and served in a timely fashion. But the hi-light for me was the older gentleman who wandered around the restaurant and greeted the guest by saying Bon Appetitto. I can only assume he was the owner (?). It made the Italian meal seem more authentic."

"Tried here as a treat for a mid-week supper, as have driven by and the outside looks very inviting. Inside the decor was nice enough and menu looked appetizing and authentic.Unfortunately, the waitress, who apparently has worked here for a long time, demonstrated a lot of attitude. We scrolled the menu to find 'Home made Pasta' dishes, but were disappointed to discover that they don't make any pasta onsite, it is bought and only the sauces are made in-house. 'Who does that anymore?' she said. We responded, 'Actually we do.' We continued to review the menu and decided on a pizza instead. My husband checked to see if the dough was at least made in-house, which resulted in a sarcastic comment from the waitress - of course they make the dough onsite! Asking to substitute bacon for pepperoni was impossible and the chef apparently was unwilling to do this! In conclusion, the pizza was mediocre, the service was inattentive and full of attitude. We wished we had eaten elsewhere!"
