"Family Reunion. Brother and sister in law John and Barbara and their son Steve came over on a visit from Australia. We had heard a lot of good reports about the Rise and Grind Cafe-Restaurant-Cocktail-Wine Bar in Mill Lane Wallasey, so we booked it for our special family reunion. So glad we did!!! We had a fantastic time. Can’t say enough about the food (three course meal, menu choices ordered in advance the friendly service and good humour of Vicky and the Team. Everything was spot on, thank you so much. Good choice of both alcoholic and soft drinks. Can’t wait for our next family gathering, we know exactly where to go. We popped outside for a photo, only 32 of us (not all the family could make it"

"Went for the first time with friends. Very warm welcome on arrival, didn't feel we were being rushed to order and ordered drinks while we all perused the menu. Service was excellent, friendly and helpful. We all ordered starters and mains and considering there of us, didn't wait long at all for the food to arrive. Food was delicious, everyone of us really enjoyed what we ordered. had steak and they were all cooked perfectly. I had pasta (chicken and pancetta) it was best pasta meal I've ever had outside of Italy. Will definitely be going again."

"This place is pure class and the staff are all knowledgeable and very friendly. Victoria was singing and playing the piano, WOW this lady can sing . We could easily stay in there all night. Can’t wait to go back."

"Whilst the service was good but a tad on the slow side, the chicken wings I ordered were small and tasted like they'd been frozen for long enough to give them that dry textured freezer burn flavour, the salt and pepper chips were equally disappointing as they were undercooked and soggy all I can say is that it was a good job I'd had a few pints before consuming or I'd have given them one star. "What a nice concept there is the bookstore on the ground floor and a very pleasant cafe on the top floor. Only had a coffee and a hot chocolate (both very nice)there did seem to be a good selection of cakes available as well prices were about the going rate well worth a visit There is even a lift available!!"
