"The poor service seems to be a recurring theme here. In our case it was slow the kitchen lost our order and no-one noticed) and surly (no apology when the food eventually came). The food itself was quite good; not distinguished, for sure, but...robust, tasty, and in good amounts. I first found this place on a list of top 10 restaurants in Zurich, which it is surely not. Nor is it cheap: we paid SFr 100 for two people, two courses each and a beer each, no coffee."

"We were sitting here with a friend, a few minutes before dinner. the friendly waiter did not complain and gave us free mixed nuts while they settled down. we shared sepia with garlic as an appetizer and the part was delicious and perfect...for 2. the paella was the main attraction! it took a while, but this is expected with paella. I recommend the paella for more than 2 people, it was delicious, but too big for us to finish in 1 session. Luckily, this restaurant is not looking for Doggy bags. in general, if they like to eat Spanish. it tasted honestly better than some Paella’s I ate in madrid. the menu price in gonzales is high, especially when you order wine, but it is worth it."

"The meat of Bärengasse is undoubtedly goodIs it exceptionally good ? Is it extraordinarily well cooked ?Is there any originality in the overall cuisine ?Is there anything awesome (sauces, fries, service...) ?No, no, no, no.Nothing you could do by yourself, buying a good meat and cooking it on your grill at home.But the prices are for sure extremely high. Add to that a highly crowded place which does not facilitate discussions...all in all, a place in which you do not feel that you really ger quality for money spent. Much better alternatives (e.g. August) exist in Zürich."
