Edo Japan Emerald Hills Sushi And Grill

The Edo Japan in Emerald Hills is fantastic. If they hadn't been so busy last time I visited, I would have called to let them know. The service was attentive, friendly, and professional yet warm. I have been there several times and the experience has been consistently excellent. The food is always delicious, especially the sweet teriyaki sauce on the perfectly cooked broccoli. The portion sizes are generous and the takeout containers are packed full. The restaurant is always bustling with customers, which speaks to its popularity. The place is always impeccably clean. The servers at the front counter work seamlessly with the kitchen staff in a cheerful and friendly manner, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Edo Emerald Hills in Sherwood Park!

I recently ordered a couple of dishes at this restaurant and the cashier made a mistake by not ringing in the proper amount, resulting in her shortchanging herself by one loonie. She later found me in line and asked for the loonie back. I was surprised at the situation and felt embarrassed for the restaurant's actions. It is disappointing to see EDO being so stingy with a senior that they had to go to such lengths to retrieve a small amount of money. This behavior is unacceptable and shameful.

I tried Alaskan sushi for the first time and was not impressed. The photos were misleading, and the sushi pieces were very small. I usually enjoy their chicken and shrimp dishes, but I will not be ordering sushi from this restaurant again. Very disappointing experience.

Eating is about 50% like some others. but they give good portions so 2 stars

Incredible that the only sauce they have for all their nude and rice dishes is Teriyaki sauce. only one sauce! all the rice and pasta dishes are sweet. I don't want to eat sugar or dinner. I'm so sick of teriyaki.
