LL Bean couldn 't have wanted it better. The lodge is sequestered under huge white pines along the edge of the most beautiful lake on the East Coast. Cocktails are on the veranda and randomly outside wherever you wish and the cocktail hour is laid-back, as are the table times. beautiful. beautiful setting . not really sure why they are reservations for people who do not stay on the property indispensable. we have been made aware more than enough time that they are not normally outside the guests.
