"I wanted to try a breakfast place that wasn't one of my regular places in McHenry. I wasn't disappointed here. I ordered the land fried steak with two eggs, sunny side up. The 8 oz Steak huge and tasty. The eggs were perfectly cooked. They had a nice selection of jams and jewelry on the table. The toast came pre-infused, but could still have used some butter. There was a small charge for my request of onions in the Hasch-Braunkartoffeln, which was not mentioned by the server when I ordered. Your coffee cups could be bigger, but my cup was never more than a minute or two empty than my server or owner or manager came with a refill. I drank decaff and it took a few stops to remember regular refills for them."

"Not sure how this place gets good reviews. probably friends and family. I've been here since 1996 and last year is the food waste. If they look for overcooked jerk like gyros or a super dry Italian bark (dink sawdust) sandwich, and cold side this is their place. sad to see such an institution wasting, and I'm sure like all the others covid will be the reason. make yourself a preferred order of papa savarios or the rusty nail for take off"

"I ordered carryout, 3 entrees. When I got home I noticed one order was wrong. I also live about 15 minutes away. So 30 minutes round trip. I called and asked to receive a credit for what was made/ordered incorrectly. All they did was offer a $5.00 credit. That's not going to buy me a new dinner. And I was not going to run back out to get the correct thing. I was not going to eat what was sold me. It's not what I ordered. I was not going to continue to debate with the young man over the phone. I will no longer give you my business nor will I recommend you to anyone. I am a long time customer. No more"
