"This 5-star review is really for a 5-star restaurant. Benazuza has been voted the 5th best restaurant in the world, and deservedly so. It has also been voted the best restaurant in Cancun, and I agree. The Executive Chef, Rafael Zafra, worked with Ferran Adrià (from El Bulli) and is a star in his own right: he had 2 Michelin stars. The cuisine is best described as molecular gastronomy with Mexican flavors. Dinner consisted of a 20-course tasting menu with an optional wine pairing. Each course, from the incredibly creative drinks to the desserts was amazing. The description from the menu does not give you a hint at what you will receive on your plate. Photos of the food alone do not give you an idea of what each bite-sized morsel will taste like. This dinner is truly an experience. We dined here last year and could not wait to come back to Cancun as an excuse to have this experience again. The service and décor are impeccable as well. I won't name our servers because I want to praise all the staff, from the hostess, to the bartender, the waiters and Chef and kitchen staff. Bravo!"

"We had a lovely time at Madera 's Saturday night fixed price-fixed menu dinner, celebrating Carlos Bruce 's birthdays. The beautifully presented food was fresh delicious, and the setting was lovely, including the moonrise over the Caribbean with a gentle breeze. Dinner began with a refreshing citrus shot, and Nic described each dish as it was served. There were eight courses, paired with three wines a watermelon sangria, and Baileys on ice to finish. Fresh grouper was featured in two appetizers and the entree. The variety of flavors, seasonings, sauces, and reductions with the well-prepared dishes were evidence of thoughtful and experienced preparation. Carlos aptly described the unique and clever combinations of flavors as, 'A party in my mouth! ' It was a leisurely, well-enjoyed dinner we were all very full impressed. I think my favorites were the cheesy risotto with the crispy veg topping that included Brussel sprouts, and the gazpacho poured over lobster and shrimp, while Bruce raved about the perfectly prepared Grouper entree. It was all very tasty and we look forward to recommending it to our friends guests and returning for another memorable dining experience! PS Nic is very conscientious and accommodating to special dietary needs, like 'no gluten '. We 've also enjoyed his menu items, including the yummy lobster potato salad flavorful rice bowls!"

"Really looked forward to enjoying a meal at Q’Bravo, but although it kept showing “open” online it was not. We will be back in January and hopefully it will be open."
