My husband and I arrived at Whistle Stop just before closing time, unsure about ordering a meal so late. However, the staff greeted us warmly and we were pleasantly surprised by the outstanding sandwiches we had in the area. What Billie Lister doesn't like about Whistle Stop Cafe:
Food was okay, but not great. Pancakes tasted like they were made the day before and just heated up in microwave, bacon was cold, biscuits didn't taste homemade, probably a frozen biscuit baked, and the grits honestly tasted like those instant ones, nothing to write home about but decent. Service was a little slow, but they had minimal staff so not their fault. I probably won't go back for breakfast, but may try out... View all feedback.
The staff at this restaurant is amazing! The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The servers are friendly and provide excellent service.
The food was fantastic! We really appreciated the friendly, hometown service.
