While some people enjoy the laid-back atmosphere and indulgent menu options at Hooters, others find the experience disappointing. In Calgary, the service and food quality at this particular location are not consistent with the Hooters brand. Some felt let down by the portion sizes and lack of attentive service. On the other hand, there are still fans of the traditional wings and casual vibe. The salt and pepper wings are probably the best wings I have tasted in a long time. Besides the traditional wings, the salt and pepper is a very minimalist take of chicken wings. First, and probably last time in a Hooters. I have often walked by them, but never gone in. I tried this place in the afternoon, and it was, predictably almost deserted. One guy nursing a beer and chatting with the statuesque cashier; a couple of guys ogling a well-endowed waitress near the windows. I had the freakie brownie with a scoop of ice cream.
