The fish and chips were excellent, especially with the additional sides that earned it a five-star rating. The fish was mostly flavorful and tender, but the batter underneath became soggy and oily towards the end of a large piece. Have been having fish and chips from here for several years, however the last few times the standard has dropped. Last week we had fish, chips and mushy peas and the fish was of a very poor standard. The actual fish was grey and thin, and was very dry. The batter was extremely hard and almost orange in colour. It was almost brittle on the outside but still uncooked on the inside!
