bad customer service. closing off registern while there is a line is simply ridiculous. go to a register and the hired look at the line and then go away to talk to her friend is even worse. Even if panera does not force the right employee behavior, they would think that the employees take at least a little proud of their work, or at least show some social labels and healthy senses. whatever.
