I have been dining at Kalpasi in the Herndon area since 2016, and the food has never disappointed us. Our favorite dishes are the mutton biryani, naan, and chicken lollipops! The Chettinad style dishes are delicious as well. When we visited around 12:15, the restaurant was not crowded on the weekend. Kalpasi appears to be good only for the Veg/non veg entree, as for multiple occurrences never had issue . But the recent take out experience from the restaurant had been terrible. Ordered a ?Mutton Biryani? and ?Chicken 65? . The biryani rice was clearly overcooked with excess water. It was sticky, mushy and had oil as well.
