Stayed for one night. Lovely large room with sofa, and very comfy bed. Evening meal was really good and breakfast was excellent. Staff were brilliant, really helpful, providing bus information and accommodating meal requests and very welcoming. This review is about the lunch service and menu only. A nice friendly reception on entering the bar which was busy, noisy and a nice atmosphere. Decor was clean and pleasant. Then we ordered lunch .... Steak Ale pie, Gourmet chips, peas and a jug of gravy. The pie was very small but hot and not microwaved. Gourmet chips ???? I don’t think so. More like Tesco value chips.
