What Neal Lowe likes about Amada NYC:
The tale of two visits... The first time we went we had an awesome time, ate at the bar, loved 4 of the 5 dishes. Don 't order the croquetas, underwhelming. Two days later we went on a Sunday at 9pm (website says OPEN till 10pm), walked in and they told us they were slow so they closed. Sooooo, call first? Who closes in NYC because it 's slow . Went to Amada for lunch and ordered their lunch special chorizo white bean soup and the serranito sandwich with fries. The soup was very good, with an even balance of ingredients, but the chorizo was cut a little bit large. The sandwich was delicious although the egg felt a bit out of place at times.
