This is a fantastic dining spot with incredible BBQ! I enjoyed it so much that I visited two days in a row. The owner, a veteran, is a very friendly gentleman. What User doesn't like about Matthews Oak Hickory Bbq:
This place has good fried chicken, the best coke slaw, and good mustard based bbq. They used to have the best French fries ever but We've heard they started using the frozen kind so We are disappointed in that. Do not look to closely at anything and get it to go (go in side door not dining room door). Send in your most not caring about cleanliness relative to pick up the order and you will be fine.
