It's a beautiful historical pub and we've eaten here for the first time under, once again, new management. The service is friendly, the place was busy, which is good and we enjoyed our food. It's the usual pub foods, burgers and pies, but it's good quality and it tasted nice, well presented. It's what you would expect in a traditional place like this one. £12.50 for seven small pieces scampi and many chips and small pot of mushy inherited. the young man behind the bar who said he had a word with the cook. I obviously didn't say a comment from the cook at the time, he looked embarrassing, it was like what it was, what it was so hard. also hanging on the menu my meal would have included a beside salad.
