"Myself, husband and grandson enjoyed our visit but two things.......firstly our grandson had mushy peas instead of the ordered garden peas and secondly........despite telling the waitress that we were in a hurry we had to wait half an hour after finishing mains before our dessert orders were taken and this was after trying consistently to attract the attention of the waitress. On coffee was ordered and arrived and drunk before the desserts arrived.....should be served after desserts or with!"

"Food was very good, but disappointed that we could not use our OpenTable check. This is not the employee's fault, but the restaurant is not on the list of excluded restaurants, so it was upset that we couldn't use it. I had also added a note to booking as recommended by opentable that I would use the check as a partial payment. The pub was also quite cold and at a fireplace there was a sign to say the staff to ask to illuminate the fire when you are cold, but we were just told that they cannot."

"Friendly greeting on arrival and aware of booking. Drinks order taken promptly and arrived quickly. Food ordered and arrived in a timely manner. Fish and chips were super so hot and obviously straight out of the fryer. Mushy peas could have been a bit hotter. Good portions and partner's meal equally good. Nice atmosphere especially as it was sunny. Been here before and will definitely visit again. Service also good. Thank you."
