"This was the second time that my wife and I dined at this restaurant. We had such a wonderful dinner the first time, we altered our travel plans to stop in Bowling Green to eat there again.The food was excellent with imaginative, tasty appetizers and perfectly cooked, generous sized portions of very fresh fish. Unfortunately, we had poor service this time. We were uncertain about out main courses and ordered a large salad to split as an appetizer. The salad and house made dressing were excellent. When our waitress came back to take our main course order, she was flustered when we ordered the fish specials because they came with a salad. I told her we did not want another side salad and suggested that we might substitute another side, but she said that she could not figure out the difference because we had a large instead of two small salads. We told her just to bring the main course and forget the extra salad. For the rest of the meal, we had exceptionally poor service. She took my silverware when she picked up our salad dishes and I had to find someone to replace them when our main course came out. She asked me if I wanted a second glass of wine and I agreed, but it never appeared. When our water glasses were empty, I had to ask one of the other servers for a refill. When she eventually returned to ask us if we wanted dessert, she managed a smile, but otherwise was largely absent throughout our meal. The rest of the servers, including the bartender, and the woman who brought our meals out from the kitchen were very pleasant and chatty.Despite the service, the meal was very good, but the overall experience was not as outstanding as our first visit last spring"
