"I have been a bit hesitant to recommend a sushi restaurant on The Drive because they all seem so similar. Though I have visited the others at least once each, I come away with a not-quite-satisfied feeling. Volcano Sushi did get my attention. It is quieter than most, rather intriguingly decorated and served pretty good food. There are a number of vegetarian options, but you have to do a fair bit of reading to find them. If my experience is any indication, don 't expect fast service. When it comes, it 's courteous, but I didn 't find the usual attentiveness there that most often comes with a sushi restaurant. Maybe that 's a good thing, but not if you are pressed for time. The special rolls listed on the illustrated sidebar look interesting, and worthy of further exploration. The Garden Roll was was especially good: its texture with the shaved crispy yam on top was noteworthy. Volcano Sushi would do well to enlarge the photos on their menu, as the images did not do justice to the quality and presentation of the food they served. I was a bit disappointed at the bill. Many of the items seem just a bit overpriced when compared to other sushi outlets. Yes, the food was of good quality, but it didn 't make me think I was getting anything extraordinary. Overall, it was a good experience, and most people will find Volcano Sushi quite acceptable. The owners are no doubt aware that there are quite a few sushi restaurants in the area, and it would well worth it for them to think of some way Volcano could stand out. Definitely, there is potential here for something outstanding, so I will return and check them out periodically. I 'll give them a recommended rating, but I 'm hoping that in a future visit, they will really impress."
