"Les Palmiers was the best of a number of restaurants we tried during a week in St Raphael/ Frejus Plage the only one we visited more than once. The food was perhaps not particularly out of the ordinary but there was a good choice...and it was well cooked, well presented and very promptly served. I had a whole sea bass with delicately flavoured rice whilst my companion had the saumon pave both excellent. We enjoyed a fairly prodigious quantity of the local rose, brought in an ice bucket which you don't really expect at what is after all a relatively inexpensive restaurant. The real appeal of Les Palmiers was, for us, the excellent service particularly after a sorry experience at the nearby La Napoli see review .I wish I knew the name of the tall young woman who seemed to be directing operations whenever we were there I would congratulate her on the way she kept a constant eye on diners' needs, seemed to be everywhere at once and yet was never too busy to welcome new arrivals or answer a query. On our second visit there was also a welcoming young man with good English to help those of us not always quite up to French menus this a good way to get dithering customers through the door but made us feel welcome and we were not to regret being persuaded. Thanks also to the same young lady who kept my partner's sunglasses safe after she left them on the table after morning coffee. When does she have time off?!"
