"I had booked a table in advance on Saturday for 7.15 when we arrived there and sat the staff (which was great by the way and could not apologize enough) said that they had a party of 200 next door and all the kitchen staff were pulled on it. eating would be at least 40 minutes, regardless of what we ordered. we asked if it should probably be 40 minutes or longer, and she said that the same thing happened in the night before and she felt that it would probably be much longer. Why do they know that the personal is not there to serve the customer? this was a special night for us with the family traveling from high wycombe. I had previously made a booking at the peacock, but this was cancelled for what I considered to be something special. we returned to the peacock inn, who served us immediately and saved us at night. really embarrassed"

"Really enjoyed our time at Anderson’s. I had the fillet steak, it was incredible and the accompaniments of green beans, smashed new potatoes with garlic and cream and the blue cheese and port sauce were perfect too. We also ordered the nose to tail, which was exceptional. Drinks were good too, there was a range to choose from. It was a Monday night so relatively quiet and relaxing in the restaurant, we were generally seen to very quickly by the waitresses so no complaints on the service. High quality food in a lovely setting."

"Seating was poor,table we had was hemmed in by other tables,server was initially hovering then busy,had to reconfirm order as area very noisy,food arrived after fairly lengthy wait and steak ordered was overdone,spoke to server who was apologies but then said would take about 10 mins to replace,meaning that by time her meal was served we had nearly completed ours,we also requested that heating be lowered,told it was due to the fact we where seated directly below unit...Two of us also ordered a sweet,both requested ice cream to feature on our sweet,was most disappointed that this was from a mister sort type machine,had this been pointed out we would have chosen a different sweet..Thing I must also comment on is that the staff made a big show when presenting people with a celebration cake,finally we have friends staying at hotel chain alongside this venue in the near future and we will be either dining at the Indian next door,or just going a mile down the road to the Bell,whose prices are not that much higher than yours and are reported to be a more convivial atmosphere.I do not like to complain about service as a rule but feel so upset that on this occasion i feel I have no other option Regards"

"There are beautiful views from the window the church and the selfeidges. the breakfast was very good. to my surprise there was tofu and spinat. it is very beautiful with salt and pepper. their subscript court is lobster vulture, but they do not offer it today. try it again next time."

"I'll be honest, I'll probably never be back here for a meal. There were several vegan options, but it seems you can't edit them as they are pre-assembled, had everything I didn't like as a main component, so I ended up with only curly frits and vegan refried beans. That means the Pomme's beans were amazing, and I enjoyed them thoroughly. They also offer a fantastic cocktail with a oat milk base popcorn garnish a must try when you drink."
