"Steak was lovely, prawns weren't cleaned though, the black forest bomb was very over priced, not much in it and didn't taste of a lot. Service was nice but overall meal took 2 hours even though we only had 2 courses. Overall a nice atmosphere."

"I and my homemate drove here to the late Sunday dinner. everywhere was all full and no place for a table for 2 but the blue anchor had a table right at the entrance. many friendly dog walkers in the opposite, so it was nice to see that they were dog friendly. the food was absolutely excellent, the dirty burger was especially delicious. the staff was very fast and friendly and there was no delay in the food, although the place was still very busy and more people entered after putting in. the only negatiw was on Sunday when we visited, there was an unpleasant bath like smell around the place. it is quite possible that there was a problem that needs sorting on a busy Sunday afternoon afternoon, which is not really possible, so I am happy to give them the advantage of the doubt that everything else was excellent. we will first look for east, last minute, in the future. the only image I made was of my orange and limonade, because I thought the glass was great! picture attached."

"Ordered the Sunday roast. Very disappointing. The beef was two small strips, quick thick but poor quality beef. Quantity and quality both poor. Won’t be visiting again for a long time. Better pub food at numerous St Albans venues."
