"In this restaurant with suggestion from the hotel where we were. this is a non-pretentious restaurant. and I tell you why this is my opinion: we ate a simple garlic steak pan roasted with a simple fried egg and roasted carrots. everything was delicious and well prepared. omg these fried potatoes. it reminded me of my early youth, when my oma did the same dish the service was very fast the dosis was great enough for Portuguese norms: . the staff was very friendly and nice. the room is very simple, cozy and everything seems clean and tidy. it was remarkable that the owner tried to keep everyone happy. the team has succeeded. I will also recommend their restaurant."

"This is a place I 've always driven by, but for no real reason, other than the look of the outside, which could be really cheesy and verging on kitsch. However, it was summer and other places were crowded at the beach so we headed inland. The restaurant is between Foz do Arelho and Caldas da Rainha, closer to Foz. It was a Saturday and it had posted leitao on Saturday and Sunday (Sabado Domingo). Now I know why it is always busy for Sunday lunch. Leitao is baby pig and it is only good if freshly cooked, which it was. Sometimes, portions in PT are too big; but here, one was just right per person. There were great french fries with it and it was highly recommended. Lots of people ordered desserts (sobremesas). It is heavily favored by locals so more of a red wine place than a white. Our first bottle of white was flat and we turned it back. The second (a different wine) was great. We then ordered a half bottle of the same and the full bottle is a much better version of the wine than the half-bottle. The wine that we turned back was Bucelas (arinto grape) and we notices a number of bottles stored upright in a very warm area of the restaurant, so a likely reason for the problem with the wine. My friend and I both had leitao. Highly recommended and a bit pricey (I think each plate was 15 euros. We 'll definitely go back when we want leitao. Otherwise, the menu had a good selection of other grilled meats and fish."

"Right after the meal arrived the table, I new that this place would deserve a great review. We had Benedict Eggs, and an açaí smoothie bowl. The taste and look of the food here is just great. The prices are really nice! Must come back for sure."

"We had worked up an appetite after our hike on the trails along the Obidos Lagoon. We read about this restaurant and were curious to try it. We arrived at 12:30 and the place filled quickly. A very nice waitress approached us... immediately and sat on a common four upstairs. The outer deck is beautiful with beautiful views. We decided to have both what a Porco Preto was. Serves simply, grilled with lemon, Batatas fritas and salad, and a delicious maize bread pudding with black eyebrows. The portions are huge, so we had to ask for a dog bag, but we were tried to eat every bite. When we were gone, a line from the door waits for tables. This is obviously a neighborhood / family favorite. And it's obvious why. The food is amazing and Suzy, the chef welcomed many customers, as she artfully tended her grill. All waiters were professional and attentive. We're coming back!"
