"General/Ambiente with friends I visited the pizzeria “Da Michele” on 08.10 for the second time, ideally located for us because of the proximity of the francfurter main railway station. Although the trattoria has been a firm part of the gastro scene in the darmviertel in frankfurt for 40 years, there is surprisingly no rating at rk. the ristorante is cozy furnished, warm yellow on the walls, cozy sitting behind arches supported on Roman deco columns invite them to stay. the one or other tasteful deco round off the battle swamps. 3.5-star service has served a young Italian in black, not only overwhelmed “Italian” friendly, but properly operated. I felt that he served the masterpieces of the more prosperous neighbours. nevertheless he was very attentive and very fleeing. negatiw in turn is that he does not respond to a complaining very customer-friendly and less skillful. under the lid of a pizza was a not exactly small büschel with bristles from a kitchen brush, with which the pizza leaf was probably sweet. so what the pizza baker should have noticed and if they already calculate the pizza, an espresso or ramazzotti should be offered in the house. 2.5 stars eat the well-sorted menu offers a plentiful selection of Italian dresses from antipasti, suppen, salads and pasta to pizza as well as meat and fish dishes. In addition, there are also dishes from the daily mirror from 9.00 € to 12.50 € such as whiskers, pennette to matrosenart and salads or canines according to jägerart with two supplements. we once chose the bruschetta to 5,00 € with fresh tomato, lushly covered with well lubricated fresh tomato pieces and plentiful black olives on delicious but unfortunately somewhat crocheted brot. 3 stars the gnocci alla fiorentina of my table neighbor, I cannot judge. he was happy. I chose as the other accompanying pizza and got luck not the above mentioned bristles of pizza brush as special supplement. my pizza, covered with salami. ham, mushrooms, wolves and peperoni was very good visual and tasteful. in the “Da Michele” there is a great worth on fresh and selected ingredients; so here comes only behind- and no form-hinken on the pizza, the mushrooms are fresh, the tomato sauce, pikant spicy, formed a solid basis for the delicious economical used cheese. the dough had the right thick, was perfectly baked until the middle crispy and above all spoiled good occupancy did not soften. the pizza gets 4 stars. I do not want to overvalue the pain with the pizzeria brush and the slightly crippled bruschetta and finally complete the entire kitchen performance in memory of my first visit to the restaurant on 4 stars. accompanying to eat: 0.4l mineral water 2,50 €, 0.2l frascati 4,50 €, 0.4l cola 3,00 €, 5 times espresso to 1.60 € per conclusion: pleasant ambiente, a little business service, good kitchen with small spreads (on request)"

"This is - maybe - our favorite place in town. Have been going there for ~15years and never had a bad meal. It's straightforward AND refined, very authentic Italian cuisine. You cal always taste the ingredients, and the quality is outstanding. The audience is mostly local, loyal connoisseurs.Btw, while the wine list is mighty, you can also just ask and you will be served extremely nice Barbera or the like.. Leo & Mario are always fair and very nice.Conclusion: I don't understand why this place isn't much higher up in the rankings!"

"We were visiting my daughter in Frankfurt and wanted to go to dinner together in the evening. This little Trattoria/Pizzeria was recommended by acquaintances and so a table was reserved. After some trouble finding a car park, we arrived there to find out that the somewhat hidden restaurant has some (less own parking spaces). Operation When entering the place, we were greeted by a rushing waiter, the reference to the reserved table was answered with the question whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. In view of the beautiful summer weather we chose a place on the terrace and took place there at the table assigned to us. Hardly that we sat, the waiter distributed the menus and then disappeared into the interior of the house to devote himself to his other obligations. A few minutes later, he came back to the table and accepted our order, which he then acknowledged with “Grazie!” and “Prego!”. After the time required for the insertion (the white beer obviously needs a little longer he came back to our table and served the drinks. Overall, he was quite flotted and at least supplied the terrace area alone without any significant waiting times. He was friendly and attentive and his “Grazie” and “Prego” sounded at more or less regular intervals. Food The map offers a lot of pizzas baked in the in-house wood-fired stone oven, from typical Italian pasta dishes to meat dishes. In addition, there is a weekly changing lunch card, both of which can be found on the restaurant's homepage, with the display of the regular card currently not working (the restaurant was informed: [hidden link] and [hidden link] My daughter had no appetite for pizza and ordered “Rigatoni I due Amici” (6,80 €), her partner the “Pizza Peperoniwurst (5,10 € with extra garlic (0,50 €). As already mentioned, the drinks were then served quite quickly, and the waiter put a bowl on the table with inlaid green and black olives and a basket with white bread slices. We had to wait a little longer for dinner. In two courses the waiter served the plates, the Rigatoni in a large pasta plate with decorated edge. The pizzas were just as big as the plates, there was practically no longer a plate edge. They looked good all the way, with a proper covering, and the taste was fine. Unfortunately, they were all probably a little too long in the oven, because the dough was clearly beyond “old”. The edges were so tightly baked that they could only be cut with effort and considerable effort at all, which significantly affected the pleasure. Ambiente The restaurant has two rooms, where the smaller one can be used for closed events. The main guest room is bright and open, with a large central vase and the pizza oven on the side. On the back is the terrace, which is surrounded by semi-high walls and which can be converted into a conservatory in the cooler season. Directly adjacent are the tennis courts that can be seen in part. The furniture on the terrace is made of dark wood, the chairs are covered with dark brown braid. On the tables there were red-and-white carded table runners in the longitudinal direction, followed by an ashtray, a glass vase with a green branch, and a lighter with two tea lights. On the masonry, a number of antagonistic “stehrumsel” are supposed to spread Italian flair, as well as many green plants there. Cleanliness glasses, plates and cutlery were perfectly clean, the table runners were clean and without stains and the floor was cleanly tied. Through the roof over the terrace, falling leaves are kept far away, but with active tennis operation red dust must be counted from the squares. We didn't visit the toilets in the house, so no statement is possible."

"Second time at this restaurant. At first the antipasti seems very expensive, but then the rest of the extensive menu is more than reasonable and the food is tasty. I have had better pizza but it is better than most and as I was being rushed by my impatient host I order it by ingredient and all was good. It is truly a family affair and authentically Italian. The staff are very hospitable and welcoming. Worth a visit - or two."
