"Arrived without booking a table ,but managed to get a table outside.We got menus and ordered a drink straight away and we had to wait no more than 5minutes before the waiter took our order had sardines as a starter which was really good and not over filling and then proceeded to have the lamb stew which came in a casserole dish so stayed hot all the way the meal and the lamb just melted in your mouth,couldn't manage a sweet and will return before the end of our stay."

"This was our first visit. We went early evening, empty when we arrived but it got quite busy later. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. No starters except bread and olives. I had seafood linguine, really good (although the mussels could have been hotter) and...my husband had steak with potato crisps and salad, the steak was disappointing. However the Tiramisu was excellent and I felt it was good value overall with 2 beers, a small bottle of house wine, one coffee and small water the bill came to around 42 euros. Would go back but not have the steak again."

"So sad! This used to be our favorite place to eat in Loule. Now with the new owners it has changed completely. I really felt ripped of when we received the clams “at market Price” for 19€ for a starters portion. I asked for an alvarinho wine and they did not have such wine and they recommended me another one… when we got the bill, it was the most expensive one on the card. Also the food went down in quality big time, while the prices went also up big time….so unfortunate that those authentic restaurants disappear for commercial ones. Dear TripAdvisor please adjust the € mark…. It’s now €€€ at least."

"Having seen this restaurant for the last 4 nights we decided to try it. Expecting it to be all things chicken we were firstly suprised at the low amount of chicken dishes available. Anyway, decided to take the piri piri half chicken and the mixed...kebab. Firstly the waiter (Luis) couldn 't have been more ignorant when we arrived and order. No hello and welcome and made no eye contact or seemed interested when we ordered, in fact was looking what was going on outside. A little bit of cutomer service and attention goes a very long way! The chicken was pitiful when it arrived and was definitely not half of chicken. It was chopped up into pieces that if put back together would definitely not be a chicken! There was no breast meat and what was served had very, very little meat and was all bone. The flavour was good but it was overly salty as was the fries and the mixed salad. The mixed kebab looked impressive on the hanging spit and but the meat was the cheapest possible and it was not worth the price tag of 18.50eur. We took a desert of Whiskey tart which was basically 2 layers of ice cream of an unknown flavour which had never seen a drop of whiskey. Heft at 7.50eur! The menu overall was overpriced and under quality. There was no love put into anything service or food. I only read the reviews after I had eaten here and I saw many people have said exactly the same things as I experienced. Why this place hasn 't sat up, listened and made some adjustments is beyond me and actually a shame because it had a lot of potential and seems popular, but it is a small village so there isn 't a huge amount of choice. On our visit here we saw a poster 50 meters down the road from a competitor establishment that we will try out tomorrow called Wild Chicken, fingers crossed for a nicer experience in service and food."

"We went to the first restaurant we found in the neighbourhood of our hotel, because we were starving. When we arrived there was almost no one. We were allowed to eat on the terras with our dog and the staff was incredible kind to him. We shared the fish cataplana and it was delicious! When you eat here, you can taste the love for food. After a while the place was crowded with Portugese people. A good sign. We will definitely come back this week."
