"Very poor! Being on holiday with the family and with not knowing the area we thought you can’t go wrong with Pizza Hut ! Well don’t waste your money here! The farm house pizza had no mushrooms on at all, the cheese was all gritty, and the garlic share bread was burnt, so dare I go on! My husband’s pizza was all dry ! The other sides we picked were passable, but it was a very expensive meal for a couple of sides! Extremely disappointed and didn’t represent a Pizza Hut at all !!"

"Had wanted to try Amici for ages, so decided to give it a go. Food was O.K., but on the expensive side for what you get. When paying £8.95 for a dessert, I certainly wouldn’t expect it to be served with aerosol cream!"

"We had the most amazing experience here. an independent restaurant with 5 * we suspected it would be there with the best. but these incredible amount of people are really in a league of their own. from the entrance to the exit the service was pleasant, attentive and let us feel welcome and relaxed. the recommendations of the team were helpful, and no question was too small for them. the menu (and the personal) mark the allergens in means of life and the team are more than ready to meet all requirements. the food itself was to die. we have our favorite restaurants for one night, and if that was closer to cornwall, it would take the top spot. they have a real gem of a company here and we are happy that we had the chance to experience it. we will be back, and we would recommend that everyone who visits torquay will ensure that some of the best foods around to visit and enjoy (just remember to book)."

"Wow, this place is incredible! We were visiting Devon as a group of 6 friends (3 couples) from Brighton. After wandering along the pier we decided to head into town to find somewhere for a pint...we had 3 dogs with us so this makes things slightly more challenging. We'd done no research so were wandering aimlessly when we spotted The Lions Monocle and a lovely sign outside stating they were very dog friendly! It has a very quirky look from the outside but we're used to this from living in Brighton and thought it looked really intriguing. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated and given a huge cocktail menu. The menu itself was fantastic and has us all pouring over it for a long time. You could easily sit here all day drinking cocktails...if you can afford it! I'm certain the lady who served us was the owner and you could tell she was really passionate about what she's created. I loved it! The cocktails we tried were incredible, probably the best and most interesting I've had. The bar itself is full of nooks and crannies and is really characterful. We visited during the day so it was very quiet, but this didn't matter to us as we created our own atmosphere as a group. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I'd happily visit again and again to try as many of the cocktails as I could. Fantastic service, fantastic venue and amazing drinks."
