"Been here a few times, service always prompt. The food here reminds me of what we had when we were in Japan, particularly the tempura rice bowl and unajyu. One of the best unajyu in Sydney, probably the best in terms of value for money. My favourite though has to be the cold ramen that is only available during summer time. I must say I have not tried this particular style of cold ramen (usually noodles served cold and dipped in warm soup to eat), whereas this had a minimal amount of cold soup/sauce underneath the ramen and was sesame oil based i think. It was very refreshing and yummy! Though different from typical cold ramen, overall satisfaction of the dish is definitely up there with the likes of Rokurinsha in Tokyo. To give this review some balance, I agree with others that the standard soup-based ramen here is not great and loses out to others like Manpuku."

"Really one of the best sushi trains in Sydney with an amazing lunch price for most plates. A short wait at lunchtime when busy. The restaurant clears as fast as it packs during lunch. Grief Grief The rainbow roll and charred Nigiri are highlights of the conveyor belt and the soups fulfill when they need additional food. Special roles are constantly changing as they do in Japan with available fish. This is the place to try something new because the quality is the top shelf. Grief Grief Waiting time is very short for ordered items, as there is usually a busy team of three in the kitchen. Only disadvantage in something inattentive card personnel, but they do not seem to think if they do without the restaurant if they need them. Grief"

"I use to come here for lunch when they do the lunch service. Their lunch menu was good! Hearty, authentic Classic Japanese dishes like ramen, Udon, Donburi Bento Box that is satisfying. Hope they open up again for lunch soon."

"Suzuka is one of the most underestimated Japanese restaurants.
Grief The chicken Katsu is perfect. They used premium chicken legs, fried with low heat and used an optimal amount of canterizer. So chicken katsu should be prepared ... and the miso sauce is not too salty or overwhelming. I hope someone from Miso Japanese try.
Grief Kakuni or fried pork belly was just nice. The pork belly was not muddy and kept his taste and fat. Maybe you could use a bit of ginger to refine the soy taste and get rid of the "pigbike", Grief Sushi was unfortunately disappointing. Look at the photos and you know that the chef did not know how to complement a sushi role and a sushi role and the ingredients. Probably another part timer that prepares our food."

"A recent renovation brought Sushi Bar Surry Hills back into my field of attention. The once poky little space has been opened out with white paint, and a stylish lit inset wall space filled with plants and other organic materials, that runs along a white banquette. Despite being someone who turns their nose up at hot food sweating away under heat lamps inside plastic bento boxes, and a bit of a stickler for freshly made sushi rolls, I was keen to give this lighter, brighter, space a second chance. My first attempt to revisit started badly. I popped in at 11.52am on the way into work for a late start. They told me I had to come back after noon for something freshly made. I finally got a lunch break at 2.08pm and when I returned, they said I was too late. Taking on board that the only chance to get freshly made food here is between the hours of noon and two precisely, I gave them a third shot..."
