"Nothing to fault here for a Saturday afternoon snack. We were late but despite this we were welcomed and there were ample choices. We had a fab table outside with a great view while we enjoyed milkshakes, veggie aranchini, veggie slice, a toasted focaccia and a Caesar salad. A lovely way to spend some time on Saturday afternoon."

"My bf had a crispy bacon n cheese burger with low carb bun, then he had the worst food poisoning ever. We had been eating the same thing except on that meal, so we are very sure that there is something wrong with the burger. When you go there, make sure your beef patty is properly cooked, you can eat a steak rare or medium rare but NOT minced beef!!!"

"Love! So fresh and delicious! Also massive portions. I had the Mexican chicken. Bonus that it is gluten-free! They make to order so they have it dairy, etc. if they wanted. This place will definitely be one that I regularly visits! 10/10."

"Half good, half terrible. I'm torn by this review as part of our experience of The National Hotel was good yet half was definitely not.<br>

We dined here as a group of four on a Friday night, having made a reservation through the website. The restaurant has very little ambience and it's quite noisy so not particularly great for a decent conversation to be had.<br>

Service was friendly but average. With the noise, orders often had to be repeated numerous times and it often got confused or misheard.<br>

We ordered a battered fish and chips; grilled fish and chips; steak; and chicken sandwich. The battered fish dish was cooked well and enjoyed, as was the chicken sandwich which came with avocado, bacon and camembert - a good combination. The steak was tasty but not cooked medium as requested. The sides of chips were delicious, really good chips and the greens were cooked beautifully but there was no hint of lemon as mentioned on the menu. The grilled fish had no been filleted and was full of bones. This is never pleasant to eat and once we let our waitress know, she mentioned it to the chef yet nothing else was done.<br>

Our waitress apologised (it wasn't her fault) yet to be charged full price despite the meal being poorly executed by what should be a standard part of the meal preparation was extremely disappointing. <br>

We had the entertainment card which gave us 25% off which was some relief as I'd not have been happy to pay full price for any of the meals. <br>

The drinks selection is good so come for a drink but skip the meal. I think there are better places in Fremantle and we left disappointed by the food, ambience and overall experience.
