"We were so pleased to have our wedding at George restaurant. The space and staff helped make planning a COVID-19 wedding such a breeze. There is a beautiful courtyard for an intimate and well ventilated event. Sonia Dhillon in particular helped smooth out the process and was with us every step of the way. "Had supper here before the Keith Urban concert on the weekend. Be sure to go early as you line up for an available table. We were a party of 4, so got in after about a 20 minute wait. Our server took our drink order and then Sam took over…very attentive! We started off with drinks. Would recommend the Muskoka Craft Lager, Bloody Caesar and our DD had ice tea…all good! Ordered the shrimp dumplings and the tacos…yummy! Three of us ordered the blackened chicken sandwich with onion rings, (I shared with my friend. Another ordered the ahi tuna poke rice bowl…ok, but needed soy sauce. Great food and service. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to get to our concert venue."

"We arrived about 3.45pm on a Sunday, one of the busiest days of the year, for something to eat and drink. The patio was very inviting, and the menu looked good. We were kept waiting for a few minutes, fair enough, and then got told they were not taking anymore customers. This was despite the fact that there were plenty of free tables. Several people were turned away. The host was completely charmless and disinterested. we manage to find the Island Café juts down the road. What a contrast. Friendly and welcoming. Don't bother with the Rectory."

"This place serves the best poke in Toronto imo. The joint is small with seating for about only 6 people, but the poke they make here is top notch and served up super quick. For the bowls, you get the option of snack size, regular, or large, with the regular size probably being enough for most. You also get to choose white or brown rice which is a nice option and all bowls come with seaweed salad, avocado and taro chips. Out of all the poke places in Toronto that I've tried, the bowls here have the best protein to rice ratio. That is to say, they give you lots of fish! I got the Waimea bowl which tasted great and had a bit of spice to it. I will definitely be back anytime I'm in the area to try their other bowls. Tip: check-in using yelp and they give you an extra 2oz of seaweed salad :"

"Despite working in the TD centre, I have only recently made it to Bymark for lunch. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I have been pleasantly surprised with my visits on two occasions. The service was both pleasant and prompt. The food made it to the table in a very acceptable, even speedy amount of time. I also very much like the vibe in the lower portion of the restaurant, think low lighting with a warm glow in the room. On my first visit, I ordered the lobster grilled cheese sandwich and it was absolutely decadent and delicious. Large chunks of Atlantic lobster, melting gooey brie cheese, pancetta and a perfectly crisp and crunchy buttered brioche bread....just perfection. Be warned, this sandwich is very rich. My colleague had the veal schnitzel which was huge and served with greens and capers on top. It was also very good.Second visit, I decided to get what has been referred to as "the most expensive burger in Toronto". For $38 you get an 8oz burger topped with brie, shaved truffles and mushrooms. You can choose a side of fries, onion rings or greens and in this instance I went with the greens so I could get through the afternoon! So what can I say about the burger? Medium rare, juicy, we'll seasoned, melted brie (this can never be bad) and the permeating truffle...mmm worth every penny. I won't be making this a regular lunch by any means but if you want to splurge out, you will not be disappointed. My colleague had the fogo island tempura cod, which she said was also excellent. I'll have to get around to going for dinner here one day but if you are looking for a business lunch spot in the financial district, highly recommend Bymark."
