"BEST TACOS IN RENO HANDS DOWN! We love coming back to Mexcal time and time again for the incredible avenue tacos and refreshing margaritas. Atmosphere: The restaurant is very nice, with a main dining room, and an enclosed patio to protect you from the elements. The service is very fast (they know to return frequently with water if you have ordered something spicy! Drinks: I have only ever had a pineapple jalapeno margarita here, but it is so delicious, and enough to share as well! Food: This is where you can pick choose and mix match some of your favorite taco flavors. There are so many to choose from, it is so difficult to make a decision. If I am REALLY hungry, I will order 3, but 2 is usually enough to satisfy me. They really stuff them, so be prepared for taco filling coming out of the back! Here are some of the tacos I have tried: Octopus, Lengua, Shrimp, Al Pastor, Carne Asada, Grilled Mushrooms, Spicy Lamb, and Short Rib. They are all so good, I don't know which I like best! I have also had the Beef Birria, which is delicious, but very rich and filling. I recommend MexCal above all other Mexican spots in Reno, and will be back soon!"

"Best breakfast burrito I've ever had. The chef/manager was very friendly. The building had a nice atmosphere. All three of my friends would agree. We were just back from a 3 day dirtbike trip and it hit the spot. Service was great and they were open way earlier than other local Mexican restaurants. Music was too load for breakfast but overall I would suggest you try it!"

"Best brunch, lunch or dinner! I pretty much only do my brunches here now as they aren’t the traditional eggs and bacon, but of a spicier, more eclectic nature filled with surprise and delight for your weekend mornings.Beautiful patio in the summer, hanging vines, couches and the perfect amount of sunshine and shade. They also allow dogs and are super dog friendly, asking us if we wanted a water bowl for our pup!I love taking friends here and splitting the bottle of champagne for mimosas (great deal), and I miss their whole trout dish they had last summer. Will be stopping in again soon!"

"First and last visit here. If you are not Latin, they will ignore you. When trying to place an order the girl at the counter found it more interesting to clean something off her shirt and I stood there for several minutes waiting for her to notice me.A small ceviche tostada lunch order took 20 minutes to get to me and it sat on the counter for 10 of those minutes. I had to go grab it myself.Too much lime in the ceviche."
