"Name and concept change.....from the hip gold 900° the Island Café, Bar Food with solid bistro kitchen (pizza, pasta, rumpsteak, salads and snacks) has now again been added. The kitchen in the former hip gold with high-quality Prime Beef has apparently not been able to prevail in Wuppertal on the island shore. We've been there before. The pizza's okay, but it's not. Rarely, we have experienced such an inattentive service. We had reserved but one of the young service ladies did not know where to be placed, we had to ask the menu and the aperitif came only after we had crushed the first piece of pizza. Unfortunately, we discovered the board too late with recommendations for day in the interior, here a note from the service would have been nice. Shame! Would be nice if the service would also have a change! There has to be a lot of practice. No place to stay for us. Fortunately, the Luisenviertel is around the corner!"
