"Our server dropped the ball with our drinks that took minutes to arrive after ordering and brought us the wrong drinks. Lastly, she wasn't a good communicator with the sides and the sizes. We wasted so much food, had she been more thoroughly we would have enjoyed ourselves and stayed for dessert. Been to mastro's many times and unfortunately this wasn't the best service."

"The atmosphere was good, the noise level was ok, the food was missing. The service was very good, nice waiters and reception! The sweetness of the sauces in our Mexican food was very different and not good! Even the salsa for the fries was more like spaghetti, how do you mess up something simple like salsa ??? We think the worst was the enchilada sauce, sweet sauce, cinnamon doesn't go with enchiladas, I don't care if it's California, it doesn't taste good, sorry !!!!!!"

"Very nice end of the week date night. Service was top notch. We had drinks and an appetizer in the bar area, then moved to the dining room when they started serving at 5. Only complaint was that, seated by the window, there was a cold draft. Still, some coffee and hot food cured that. It’s nice to see familiar faces. The young gentleman at the front of the house, a fellow Yankees fan, was there to commiserate about recent disappointments. Then we had a nice chat with Brandon about his upcoming trip to Spain. We chatted about the impending miserable weather with the gentleman who pours the water and does other important tasks. It’s small things that make the experience of dining personal and fun for us. It makes the experience so much less stiff and formal. It takes a personable staff to offer that, but it’s worth it."
