"Dropped in for dinner and another time for drinks on a short holiday weekend trip. Service was slow but food decent. Live music caters to a more mature crowd. Nice location on Granville island by the water."

"I've dined at the Splash Bistro a number of times over the years. As many reviewers have already noted, it certainly isn't anything to write home about, nor is it bad, either. One of the benefits of coming early (i.e.: around dinner time) is you can catch some pretty good dinner deals from a burger and a beer for about $5 to a Prime Rib dinner at just over $10. But, to be clear, it certainly isn't the best Prime Rib, but for about $10 one really can't complain because you get a large piece of meat with all the fixings.Besides the specials, the menu is also fairly extensive: it features a variety of Chinese dishes (including a "buffet") and Western fare. In terms of the Asian dishes, the soup isn't bad, and the Chow mien is decent; however, for my money -- and the reason I keep coming back here -- the dim sum (shrimp) cannot be beat. In fact, I usually get a double order!In terms of the Western food, it's your standard stuff -- chicken wings, strips, burgers -- things like that. The chicken wings are OK, but they're often overdone and, when they aren't, you still have to eat them pretty quickly otherwise they get tough.If you're a frequent visitor of the casino, be sure to use your Encore card for a slight discount!So, in short, Splash Bistro is average at best, but when it comes to late night eats, it's pretty darn good!"

"Great Food, Awesome Service. I visit quite a few licensed venues, mostly pubs throughout the Lower Mainland. And I have the luxury of visiting pubs throuhgout the Maritimes, including Halifax and St. John's. The Press Box is unassuming but once you come in, it is surprisingly a really nice venue. The food is great I've only been able to eat here twice, but on both occasions I really enjoyed the burgers and halibut. I am also a big stickler for good service the servers were attentive and very good at what they do. Again, outstanding food...great place for live music as well or a pre game party. I wish more pubs were this welcoming."

"Bay Sushi Cafe Express is located on Seymour St, Vancouver Downtown. The location is right across the street from Granville Skytrain Station and The Bay. It is a small restaurant and there are only couple tables there. There are many people having lunch and dinner at this small restaurants. Some of them even took the food to go. I’ve been to this place for lunch couple times. The first impression of this restaurant is that it always has a huge lineup waiting for order the food. The second impression is the food comes out very fast. When I came here for lunch, the food was always fresh and well cooked. The prices of the food were also cheaper with the large portion. It is a great Japanese fast food restaurant."
