"The rental car lady at Fox recommended Volare when I asked her for her favorite restaurant. It was delicious especially their pork loin which was on the special list. The ambiance is old school 70's 80's with mostly locals and loyal customers. Food was delicious, service was excellent. I'd recommend it!"

"It's the best Italian seafood ever. Very unassuming local vibe. Pricing is very reasonable. Tried Peohe's in Coronado Island the night before, and although great food, Oltre Mare gets my highest mark. Kudos to the owners and staff. Be ready to smile and get smiles back. "A friend and I have our monthly meetings over pizza, brilliant idea I know. We’re always searching for new places to try. The Haven is in my back yard and it honestly tops my list of best pizza we’ve had after probably 8 meetings. It may not be the classic NY style that an enthusiast is after but it sure is delicious and exactly what I was craving. We shared a small antipasto salad and a 12” pepperoni pizza with mushrooms and jalapeños. Perfect amount of food for lunch. Excellent crust, chewy with great texture, and high quality toppings. Shaded patio and indoor seating with comfortable booths, great for people watching. Great service too. As we were leaving, they were getting a delivery of fresh pasta from a shop I love in Little Italy. Will have to come back and try more!"

"Was a little disappointed in our visit for lunch on Saturday. Utensils and plates and cups were dirty. Salad was so sad. It was old chopped lettuce that was getting brown and red on edges. Eggplant Parmesan was good. No wonder it wasn?t busy. Every other restaurant around it was packed with people. Three stars was for our visit last year when the food was great."
