"The minute you walk in your transported to another time, it’s so classic and elegant inside. We were seated promptly and our server was wonderful. We started with fresh oysters and they were delicious, I especially loved the sauce pairings. My husband and I each had a NY strip and shared the twice baked potato, absolute perfection. We finished off with cappuccino and the chocolate cake, so so good! Highly recommend."

"J Gilbert's always delivers a wonderful experience, whether it's for a special event or just happy hour at the bar. On this occasion, we celebrated a birthday in the small private room on a Sunday afternoon. The meal and drinks were fantastic and put us all in a happy food coma. Constructive criticism: The private room was cozy on the edge of being a little tight (not sure how well it would accommodate all mobility aids, for example). The dining table in the room also could stand to be updated as there was some visible scuffing. We also wished they had provided more clarity on the dinner packages apparently those need to be ordered/confirmed at least a week in advance but neither the staff nor the website mentioned this when we were reserving the private room. Ultimately, we were very happy just ordering off the regular menu and the staff were great when we were there."

"The Waygu is a must!! We made the double-agle table tasting. It turned out to be so much. The portion sizes as you can see were great. Japanese A5 Waygu had incredible taste and cooked to perfection. Absolutely just melts in your mouth. The meatballs and desserts were also amazing. The pages were okay. Service was excellent. Server ensured that we always had everything we needed without constantly being at our table. A little louder in the dining area than I wanted, but overall such a great experience."

"So, the food here is excellent, but I placed an order for a family pack, I selected 3 sirloins and 3 chicken breast, which should feed 6 people, and I selected 2 sides Mac and cheese, green beans and a garden salad with ranch. The steaks were cooked rare, we asked for medium, which they describe as pink throughout, it was pure red (thank goodness I ordered dad a ribeye cooked Med well, or he would have had no food for his 85th birthday dinner!! , the salad was a single serving, which i am not sure how you share with 4-6 people, the Mac and cheese and green beans were maybe a serving for 3 if everyone was careful. I don't understand this, the sides are the cheap stuff they should be abundant, what we had was great, but won't rely on these guys to feed a family again."
