"It is a wonderful place to sit and study/work if you are seeking some white noise. The energy of the place and the youthful people around makes one want to continue being there. Its not quiet but its not loud either. Parking can be done on the curb and longer hour parkings can be hard to find. The usual 2 hour spots are plenty though"

"Great little neighborhood general store which happens to serve some of the best BBQ in Houston. I had the 2-meat platter with beans. The brisket is on par with some of the best joints in Texas Monthly's annual Best Of write-ups; and the jalapeno cheddar links are outstanding. Portion sizes were good. Friendly staff management, and a nice selection of unique goods. I'll certainly return, as it's fairly equidistant to me from another outstanding local BBQ joint, but the lines here are shorter...at least for now."

"Wow, great space for breakfast or lunch with a big assortment of baked goods. We had bear claws and pull apart apple cakes along with robust coffee. Each sitting area has acrylic shields for covid protection. Friendly cheerful staff! This was a church and all the character is left untouched. Just a few blocks from main street and street parking free and plentiful."

"Wow! First I couldn't believe this place was really a 4.9 star place with over 200 reviews. We went and got breakfast sandwiches and donuts for our breakfast while on vacation. While there the two workers that I assume also own it were super friendly to us, and some locals came in for coffee behind us to only grab coffee and the workers knew their names and were super nice to them as well. The breakfast sandwiches are large and come with a couple donut holes. They were really inexpensive also. Everyone, including the picky eaters loved the sandwiches. The donuts looked like any other shop, but were really delicious as well. They weren't overly sweet like some. Tasted more fresh than my favorite donut shop by my house in San Diego. Look forward to trying a smoothie from them next time we're out here. Definitely worth trying while you are out in the area. Earned their star rating in my mind."

"I'm not exaggerating in the least bit when I say this....the BEST breakfast tacos I have ever had, maybe the best in Houston. The brisket is smoked on site and has a perfect saltines to it, the eggs are fluffy and the salsa is perfect with just enoughkick."
