"Canvas café is tucked away in the freo arts centre,situated in a beautiful little court yard making it perfect for a summer time brekkie. We visited Canvas café back at the beginning of the year with family. As I have said, the courtyard is fantastic,...a very pretty spot to sit and have a relaxing, delicious breakfast. The menu is varied for a breakfast menu, with a lot of the items being in 'pan' style servings, which I love. I went for the 'Pan of Greens' with extra chorizo (duh) which came served with sourdough and garlic butter so good, I also ordered an almond milk turmeric latte to wash it down, and again Canvas really delivered on this, as I find turmeric lattes can be a hard skill to master. Some family members went for a champagne breakfast, and the feedback was great from them too! If you're looking for somewhere different to have brekkie in freo, this is definitely worth a look, and why not take some time and have a look around the arts centre whilst you're there? Sounds like a perfect morning out to me."

"Always been passing by this coffee shop (as our unit is only 2 minutes away) and was fairly impressed by the setting of this shop. Outdoor seating, AUD$3.00 for an 8oz coffee (all day erryday), and warm Customer Service made for a remarkable Sunday. Wooden decor inside and outside of the shop, and the chilled music added to the cosy atmosphere. We will be visiting this quaint little shop more often and would highly recommend this shop to anyone else in the area."

"The snack menu here has a wide variety to select from. Today we had the fried calamari, hand cut fries and hummus, the calamari was cooked to perfection and everthing else was very nice. The waited service here is very friendly and efficient."

"The coffee was lovely but the doughnut was sensational. I tried the salted caramel one and it lived up to the hype! It's going to be hard to resist stopping by here when running errands in future! Friendly staff, great atmosphere, lots of yummy looking goodies in the cabinet.. But oh the doughnuts! They're available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends so plan accordingly."
