"Wir waren eine Gruppe von 9 Personen. 7 Personen haben Fleisch bestellt, davon 5 Steaks. Die Steaks wurden bei der Bestellung als "butterzarte argentinische Filet(!)steaks" in den blumigsten Worten beschrieben. Herausgekommen ist ein zähes Rumpsteak, das so stark gewürzt war, dass man den eigentlich Geschmack des Fleisches nicht mehr wahrgenommen hat. Die Fischsuppe war ebenfalls extrem scharf gewürzt. Interessanterweise wurde man auch sehr häufig nach Getränke-Nachbestellungen gefragt. Vielleicht gibt es da ja einen Zusammenhang.... Die Bedienung war zwar freundlich, konnte aber mit der Kritik auch nicht wirklich gut umgehen. Der Preis für das wirklich schlechte Steak war zu hoch. Die Chips waren gut."

"The back room is designed as if it's a library or a study. I'm not sure what is meant to be Brazilian about the room. The front room is generic uninspiring decor, kind of like a chain hotel. The food was delicious but the overall experience was just okay."

"I came here a few weeks ago with my Portuguese woman who remembers this restaurant, living from her younger days in w n gaia. we came on a Sunday, a popular day with couples and families. as with any popular restaurant, they expect to wait, sit and there are comfortable chairs to sit as they wait. we were told that the waiting period would be half an hour while we were at the table in about twenty minutes. we had a nice suppe to begin and for the main plate we had picanha for two, with wonderful black beans flavored with presunto. also rice and the freshest, crisp roasted potato slices I've ever had. the food was excellent; Portuguese cuisine very well made. we had a half bottle douro red (kopke,) which was also excellent. the wine list offers many different tastes and budgets; something for everyone. all in all a very pleasant experience, I will return to the next time and try to fish."
