"We went to the Auberge d'Onex for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant decor is nice and carefully selected. You forget for a while that you are in close to Geneva but feel you are in a nice retreat. The food is good but...very expensive for Geneva standards. The appetizers cost between 20-35 chf. I took some Mozarella and was expecting a nicely presented tomato mozza plate but literally just received a huge ball of Mozzarella on a plate. No tomatoes. Just a huge mango sized cheese. That's it ! The squid (calamar) which cost 48 CHF is literally just deep fried squid thrown on a plate. That's it. No vegetables, no rice, no sauce.. nothing ! Besides half a lemon I guess. The deserts come from a trolley and are nice. The wine we took was excellent. All in all a nice place but completely overpriced and a mediocre service."
