"This is a pretty big bakery with a really large selection of Chinese/Asian-style baked goods. I've had the chance to sample their Chicken Pie, Pineapple Bun w/BBQ Pork, and Curry Beef Bun details below). All of them were very good: fresh and tasty, and stuffed with a generous amount of filling. Although their prices are a tad bit higher for an Asian bakery, the quality I think is well worth it. I also really like the system that they have where you get to select your own goods and place them on your tray) and they wrap them up for you at the country. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a good Chinese bakery.<br/ <br/ Chicken Pie $2.25):<br/ 4/5<br/ The crust of the pie was quite tender and flaky, with a slight hint of sweetness. It was filled with a generous amount of flavourful, tender chunks of chicken, as well as a few carrots and peas. <br/ <br/ Pineapple Bun w/BBQ Pork $1.75):<br/ 3/5<br/ The bun was really soft and fresh. It had a really generous amount of bbq pork. Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the filling: it was a bit too savoury and I actually prefer my bbq pork to be a bit sweeter, but I think that there are a lot of other people who'd prefer this style of filling. I also wished that the topping would be a bit more crispy.<br/ <br/ Curry Beef Bun $1.45):<br/ 4/5<br/ Again the bun was soft and fresh. There was a good amount of curry beef that was fragrant, mildly sweet, and flavourful."

"Hoy’s is one of those places you always drive past but seldom consider stopping at to eat. I won’t lie to you, the exterior gives the impression you will get attacked inside, but don’t worry, I can assure you it’s perfectly safe (minus the potential gangster pool hall next store of course) According to the menu, there was a “5.75 Lunch Special', which consisted of soup and any of the lunch entrees (under the list). To start, the soup it came with was Hot N’ Sour Soup. It was hot, both temperature wise and spice wise, though it was a tad on the bland side. It also had a distinct texture of soup that’s thickened with flour, though it did have a lot of ingredients in it I guess…. Part of the aforementioned lunch special was a plate of Curry Chicken on Rice. The chicken was nicely seasoned, though the rest of it was just sorta creamy without any character to it. The sliced beef with swirl egg on rice dish is exactly what it sounded like. The beef wasn’t too chewy, which I thoroughly enjoye"

"Dalana made us the most beautiful and delicious mini cupcakes for our wedding! Our guests raved about the flavours. I thought we ordered too many, but honestly, there were very little left at the end of the night. Order more than you think you need because they are too yummy! We also ordered a small cake for cutting and I HIGHLY recommend the salted caramel pineapple cake. Not only is she talented, Dalana is super lovely too. Don’t sleep on The Cake and the Giraffe!"

"What nobody would line up for food at this Srilankan food stall?? It was so good, delicious and authentic!! If you like asian, Indian and Srilankan food, you must come here and try their food. <br/ <br/ We ordered a dish of egg roti and plain roti with curry chicken and biryani with chicken, eggplant moju, fried egg and pickle as well as a cup of hot chai tea. OMG! They were really good and at a very reasonable and affordable price! Ask for mild spicy if you cannot eat very spicy food. I particularly loved the hot chai tea. They added ginger to it. It was way better than the chai tea at Starbucks and any other cafes. <br/ <br/ There is an underground parkade at Tinseltown. Take an elevator up to the food court. You will be able to find this food stall called Canra Srilankan. I am not sure what else I can describe to you. You must try and experience it yourself!! If I will be in this neighbourhood again, I will definitely come back and try other dishes :P"

"... I ordered the Perfect Peach, and Julia ordered the Sourpuss. We each traded a sip of each other’s, because both flavours sounded so good. And holy hell they were amazing!<br/ <br/ The Perfect Peach was the perfect blend of rich, creamy, white hot chocolate featuring Cocoa Barry Zephyr with strong peach notes. I know I’m a blasphemer but if I’m in need of a pick-me-up, I’ll take hot chocolate over tea any day. And I would take the Perfect Peach every day! I’m still giddy over how yummy this hot chocolate was.<br/ <br/ Click to read on for the full post pictures."
