"It honestly pains me to write this review because I/we love their Madisonville location always a 5 star experience. We came here for Mother's Day and their 4 year anniversary. It was our first time at this location, but we decided to make the drive and give it a try due to the special menu we live closer to the Madisonville location. I feel like people were just as friendly and the service just as good. The food was below their standard at the other location and I thought the portion/cost for the menu was sub par. The porchetta was dry, the exterior was not crunchy like porchetta should be but leathery, and it was not filling it did have decent flavor. The asparagus was cooked just right not overcooked and still some snap. It was $19 for that plate pictured, not including a tip. I would have expected another slice? Or maybe add something else to go with it like potatoes or bread. My father had the classic breakfast which was $16 and it looked quite a bit more filling. The rhubarb danish I had that day was also a little off. The custard was a bit eggy both texture and flavor. Again, disappointing because items like their Pain aux Raisin and their Olive Oil Cake have been great. Coffee was still good, but I think we had expected ceramic ware like the other location. However, we understood the convenience of disposables given most people were outside and it was quite busy. Unfortunate experience here, but that won't deter us from frequenting Madisonville."

"Food was bland! We got cannolis to go (because they were the only really good part of the meal) and we got them home only to discover they each had about a spoonful of filling in them. Totally overpriced for the taste and experience."

"Celebrate our anniversary with Eddie Merlot. We've been here for a few years. Very nice to see that the service is still top notch. Started with a glass of champagne, followed by 2 Maryland crab cakes on a bed of corn relish that we shared. That was delicious! The ordered entries were the New Orleans mixed grill. Consists of a 4oz fillet, black shrimp, sausage with garlic potatoes. I added a chopped salad with the housevinaigrette. My husband ordered the rib. Added potatoes, Mac cheese. All supplements are ala carte and large enough to share. My fillet was so tender, it was as if it had melted in my mouth! Perfectly cooked. Probably one of the best steaks I've ever had. It was also the perfect size along with the shrimps and sausages. The ribeye was perfectly cooked and had great taste. My husband enjoyed his experience. I'm sorry I don't have a picture of it. We were served in honor of our jubilee a cream bubble. I've never been a fan of this dessert, but we were pleasantly surprised how good it was. Added a coffee with Bailey's with dessert. We both look forward to the return and maybe try the Bison."
