"Food, service, and ambience were all excellent. The steaks were perfectly cooked. The salad was delicious. The drinks were asethetically pleasing as well as tasty. The dessert was pretty and yummy. Would have preferred the foie Gras to have been seared more on the outside and in flank form, but that's personal preference; still tasted good."

"Service was great until near dessert time. For some reason, it took a long time to receive our dessert. Chocolate hazelnut torte was delicious. Pasta dish was so-so. Clam chowder was great flavor, shprt on clams. Garden salad was only greens and a few small pieces of thin pear. Ceasar salad was good. I loved the sliced capers. Steaks were good. Good prime rib. Prices are too high."

"We had lunch here on Valentine's Day last year, with our toddler daughter tagging along. The staff was very sweet to her, and went out of their way to make her feel special during our date. The food itself was excellent, even with it being a busy holiday. I had the sparrow salad and a sandwich, my husband had the special, and they made our little one some pasta. The decor is cute too. Very French farmhouse antique, with pastel colors."

"The Bay Area is full of restaurants, but if you are looking for old school Continental cuisine, consider Papillon in Fremont. We were dined there yesterday and are classic from the beginning: Escargot, French onion soup with puff pastries, Beef Wellington and strawberry flakes! Note: The strawberry combs are not on the Dessert menu, but can be requested (church is also available). The price is $35, but it's dessert and a show! You can also ask the banana lobby, but you must do this before you come to the restaurant. For wine we had a Bordeaux that went very well. Everything was just as I hoped."

"Took the extended family (9 of us ages 22 to 86 yrs) and everybody enjoyed the food, beer and music. Only complaint is that there were 3 or 4 great sounding beers on the menu that were now out of season . Need to keep that beer menu updated! The food was well prepared and presented. Everyone got one of the seafood dishes and they were plentiful, fresh and delicious."
